So who am I?
I'm Rachel Villalobos, your future photographer and social media manager. I fell in love with photography my senior year of high school, and have taken it to the next level at The Ohio State University. Along with working with local businesses to help grow their social media following with creative and trending designs.
I graduated, December 2025, with a Bachelors of Science in Education majoring in Sport Industry at the college of Education and Human Ecology, with 2 minors in Media & Society along with Hospitality. I have spent now 4 years getting a grasp at photography, and spent my first year on campus shooting nothing but sports every weekend to practice. Everything from high school hockey at The Chiller, to a sold out basketball game at the Schottenstein Center and most recently, The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. I've said yes to it all and assist numerous companies with their graphic design and social media platforms to create me a jack of all trades.
In addition to my passion for digital media, I also have spent 3 years with the Columbus Blue Jacket's Goal Patrol assisting with in game presentation. I thrive on getting to learn on the fly, helping create a memorable atmosphere every home game, and effectively communicate with multiple departments. This experience gave me the opportunity to apply to work more fan experience based jobs including the record breaking 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit and the 2025 Stadium Series.
Determination and my work ethic speak volumes as in just 4 years I have gone from knowing nothing about the industry, to being elected as the Marketing Director for the Ohio State Student Section. While also being the sole Digital Content intern for the Memorial Tournament, 2 years in a row. I recognize that marketing strategies and algorithms are changing and evolving constantly, and I look forward learning how a larger team tackles these and other challenges. Especially in a world where sports and trends are continuing to grow more and more every day.
